Our Story
Kara and John met in November 2017 in what John would refer to as “a total set up”. A few weeks later they would go on their first date to the ice rink at Rockefeller Center, yes under the tree. Unfortunately Kara had to leave for several months to work in Japan. She would ask John to come visit her. What she wasn’t expecting was for him to actually do it. After landing in Tokyo on Valentines day 2018 and spending the next 2 weeks together they knew this was special. Now several years and a global pandemic later John finally popped the question while they were on vacation in Paris on October 5th 2022. They are so excited for you to share in their story and join them on their wedding day August 2nd 2024.
Venue
Our Wedding will be held at the beautiful Spanish restaurant My Moon in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
The ceremony and reception will both be held on site.
There will be a family style three course dinner with three entrees as well as an open bar. No meal selections will be necessary but please notify us if there are any food allergies to be aware of.
Where to Stay?
Our venue is located off the Bedford L stop in Williamsburg Brooklyn. There are an abundance of Hotels and Airbnb options throughout the city. A few neighborhoods we would recommend for your stay are Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Clinton Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, Chelsea, SOHO, Long Island City.
